Road expansion in my village

Well,this picture doesnt make sense for u guys on first sight. This is the road in my village which is now being expanded.

these points are worth of saying about this expansion work...

1. This road Kottamedu-Guduvancherry (18km) is going to be expanded by about 1 meter.

2.Forest areas on the either side of the road is going to reduce one meter in width.

3. Deer,Peacocks,Monkeys etc., are going to lose their residence by 1 meter.

Eventhough all means the same, it differs from different perspective. As a person in this village, i have mixed feelings. I don't know whether to be happy about this road expansion which i often use or to feel sad that these forest areas are being destructed. This 1 meter doesnt sounds much. isnt it?.. Look this way. Lets take it approximately 1.5 meter. 1.5x18000(18km)=27000 which is 27 square kilometer. So 27 sq kilometer forest area is destroyed. Anyway with this growing population, these things continue to happen and we cant really do anything with this growing population. What i need to insist you guys is that please try to grow plants in your home and let green population increase in tandem with human population in an attempt to save plants atleast if we cant save animals.
